| Supplemental ID Information for Examinees Testing in China |
| Examinees testing in China are required to bring in a supplemental form of ID.
Acceptable forms of supplemental IDs are: • driver's license • employment card with
a steel seal • student card issued by an official University/College/Institute (register
cards of training school, training program, etc. are unacceptable) • letters from
employment unit or government, which must be sealed and bear examinee's profile
information, National ID#, signature, photograph and contact information |
The exam will be computer-based. You will not receive any copies of the questions.
Scrap paper can be used, but will be collected at the end of the exam.
The exam will last for a total of 5 hours, plus a break of up to one hour, which will be
taken at the end of the second section of the exam.
Once admitted to the testing room, there will be a tutorial that introduces the functionality
of the exam and a brief message from PRMIA. After this has been viewed, you may
begin the exam.
You will be asked 120 multiple-choice questions in five sections. You will have three
hours to complete the first two sections, Math and Finance. If you have time remaining,
you will be able to review your answers to the questions in these two sections. Once you
have started your break you will not be able to return to those questions. Following the
break, you will have two hours to complete the remaining three sections of the exam,
Financial Risk Management Practices and Case Studies, PRMIA Bylaws and Code of
Conduct. If time remains at the end of your exam, you will be able to review your
answers to the questions in these three sections. You are unlikely to finish the exam with
significant extra time.
Although simple non-programmable calculators can be used, no laptops, palmtops nor
other forms of advanced computing can be used. The memory must be cleared on the
calculator before entering the testing room.
If you should need to cancel or re-schedule your exam, you may do so more than 30 days
before you test date with no charge. If you re-schedule or cancel between 5 and 30 days
before the scheduled exam date, you will be charged a US $50 processing fee. The full
test fee is charged for any cancellations or changes made 5 days or less before the
scheduled exam date.
It is very important that you leave enough time to arrive at the testing center early.
Candidates that arrive late to the test center may not be permitted to test. The full charge
for the exam will be made if you are not admitted for any reason. As these centers offer
exams for other organizations as well, not everyone in the room will be taking the same
exam, so no assumptions should be made about when other candidates enter or leave the
testing center.
Each testing center has an administrator who can assist candidates with any questions that
they may have. All exam rooms are videotaped and monitored via a parabolic mirror by a
proctor.
Final results of the exam will be available within 30 days of the last day of each testing
window.
