PRMIA :: Registration
|
Registration for the PRMIA Certified Risk Manager exam is handled by Thomson
Prometric via telephone. You will need to have some information at hand when you call
them.
To register, we suggest that you take the following steps:
- Visit www.prmia.org/2test to identify the testing site that is most convenient for you.
- Select at least two dates that would be convenient for you to take the exam. If you
book far enough in advance, your first date should be available, but it is important to
identify an alternate in case all seats have already been reserved on your first choice.
- Since the exam is six hours in length, the flexibility in time at which you may begin
your exam is more limited. In general, testing centers are open from 9:00 am to 5:00
pm, Monday through Saturday. There may be some exceptions to this outside of
North America.
- Locate your PRMIA User ID and have that accessible when you call. Your PRMIA
User ID is the name that you use to login to the membership section of
www.prmia.org. It should be visible when you visit www.prmia.org/membership.cgi
from the computer on which you registered and should also have been sent to you via
e-mail upon your registration as a member of PRMIA.
- If scheduling an appointment in North America, call Prometric’s Contact Center at
(800) 796-9862. Outside of North America, call the appropriate phone number for
your center which can be found at www.prmia.org/2test .
- 6. You will need to provide them with your name, a government ID number (Social
Security, etc), your PRMIA member name (UserID), phone number and address.
- You will also need to have a credit card available to reserve your spot. (contact
support@prmia.org if you require alternate payment arrangements)
- You will receive a confirmation number once the appointment is scheduled. It is
important to write it down and retain this number.
- Individuals with appointments to test in North America are encouraged to
confirm their appointment information by logging on to www.prmia.org/2test.
If your first choice of a testing center is not available, the scheduler will make every
effort to find another center within 50 miles (80 km) of your first choice in the U.S. and
Canada, or within 100 miles (160 km) of your first choice in other areas.
If there are no exam centers in your area, but a PRMIA chapter exists, please contact the
Regional Director of that chapter to inquire about how you may take this exam.
Please note that you may only take the exam once during a testing window. If you repeat
the exam, your second score will not count and you will be charged the full fee for both
exams.
